"All about Longboat Key, its environment and community."

The Longboat Key Foundation is now officially an independent 501C3. It began as an effort to recognize one of our town's longtime commissioners and has been joined with the Community Foundation of Sarasota County for years. We are now independent and looking to continue making life better on Longboat Key by raising up the town and all the people who make it a wonderful place. We are interested in giving our help to any aspect of Longboat Key; in the past we have worked to establish a medical clinic on the island, an arts and culture center and an initiative with Mote Marine to curtail microplastics in our waters.
