Four creative and fun community events to bring us together, in collaboration with other non-profit organizations who serve Longboat Key.  Please join us in celebrating the arts, and each other!
 

Future initiatives we have offered to collaborate with the Town include:

 

Donor funding for replacement of the Bayfront Park Recreation Center.  We encourage Town officials to escalate design schematics, and estimated costs for the building replacement so that initial conversations can begin with interested donors. 

 

The importance of the Bayfront Recreation Center replacement now becomes more apparent as there is no recreation component at the Town Center.  This mid-key location is a convenient, highly desirable amenity for community events, meetings, recreational classes, and so much more. The beach-to-bay views from this location provide the ONLY public amenity on Longboat Key of its kind!

 

We are also seeking donor funding to accelerate replanting and beautification of the rose garden and botanical garden in Durante Park. Bicentennial Park, the Town Center, and other public places within the Town also suffered losses and damage during the 2024 storm season. 

The entire island has lost much of the stunning manicured aesthetic we enjoyed years ago. 

 

Mother Nature needs a boost that is beyond the scope of Town staff. With the support of our generous community, the Longboat Key Foundation can collaborate with community partners to bring our parks back to their former beauty!
